The endpoint of the rubber fender should fall on the internal frame of the hull, such as the frame and the rubber fender floor.
The seams of the hull shell, the cladding of the fenders, and the butt joints of the rubber fenders themselves should be staggered at least 10cm from each other.
With the active development of the pre-installation project, the fenders are often pre-installed on the sections. Therefore, the fender should leave a 1-1.2m section outside the large seam of the section and be loose on the slipway. Once the tightness of the large seam in this section is accepted, the installation of this section of the fender can be carried out.
The transverse and longitudinal stiffeners in the fender are generally not welded to the hull plate, and a gap of -10mm should be left for the rubber fender.
